Zento designed the Acacia Resin Magnetic Knife Stand for home cooks who want their best knives within reach without a bulky slotted block taking over the counter. Both magnetic faces hold a full set — chef’s knife, santoku, paring knives, even a honing steel — so you can grab the right blade with one hand while the other stays on the cutting board. Because the knives sit on the surface rather than sliding into hidden slots, nothing traps moisture against the steel and you can see every edge at a glance. It works just as well as a centrepiece on a kitchen island as it does pushed back against a backsplash.

Each stand is built from solid acacia, a dense hardwood with a warm, unpredictable grain that means no two pieces look alike. The Large option runs a band of hand-poured resin through the centre of the board, set slightly below the wood so the surface stays smooth; the Small option keeps the clean, all-timber look. Because the resin is mixed and poured by hand, its colour varies from board to board — expect blue, green or deep-red tones — and the swirl pattern is unique to every piece, so the stand you receive will differ slightly from the photos. That’s the nature of a hand-made resin pour, not a fault. Strong magnets are embedded behind the wood face — close enough to hold heavy forged knives securely, recessed enough that the metal never touches your blades. A weighted base keeps the whole stand planted even as you pull a stiff knife away.

The Large stand comfortably holds a full set across both faces; the Small suits a compact starter set. Finish it by hand with food-safe mineral oil every few weeks to keep the acacia from drying out, and wipe it down with a dry cloth — never put the stand in a dishwasher or leave it standing in water.
